TechTracks

After lots of technical difficulties, we have finally gotten the powerpoint slides posted. I’ve also posted the Q&As from the classes. For a couple of the questions, I am awaiting more information from people so I will update these as I get more info. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or comments. Thanks so much for your patience. Have a great day!

The tagging classes offered by the SC State Library are now completed but should not be forgotten.  :)  I have been adding great links to our del.icio.us account for everyone (including more examples of how libraries are using LibraryThing and Del.icio.us).  Check them out by clicking here and visit the tags under the “Tagging” bundle.  I will keep adding more as I find them.  Also, if you find great bookmarks, let me know by tagging them with “for:techtracks” and I will be sure to add them.I am working on scheduling the Flickr classes for April of 2007.  I will let everyone know soon.  Thanks everyone for participating, I had a great time with this class.  Hope to see you soon for the next round of classes.

This one will truly be appreciated by those who participated in the Tagging Classes last week.  Check out this post from the Library Thing Blog.  It compares Library Thing to your OPAC.

Hi, all!

You may notice that we’ve made some navigational changes to the blog. A list of available pages has been added to the sidebar, and we’ve added individual pages for each of the TechTracks classes. We realized that one page would be entirely too long if we put all the information we want to for each topic, so several seemed appropriate. As we create the class content, you’ll find presentation slides, useful links, answers for frequently asked questions, and just about anything else we can find on the Library 2.0 movement.

We’ve truly enjoyed seeing so many of you begin your own 2.0 services. We’ve been able to add several libraries and librarians to our SC Library Blogs page, seen Flickr accounts popping up for a couple of public libraries, and seen the beginnings of instant messaging for reference and professional communications. Very exciting stuff!

Please keep in touch as you explore the 2.0 world, and share what you’ve found.

Felicia
