Congratulations are in order for Jennifer Jackson, Adult Programming Coordinator at the Greenville County Library.  She has been chosen one of 20 Fellows selected to participate in the second annual Lifelong Access Libraries Leadership Institute.  A program of the Americans for Libraries Council (ALC), the Fellows are a national network of librarians committed to transforming library services for older adults.  The Fellows will lead the nation’s libraries in enhancing services for older adults with opportunities for active learning, creative exploration, and meaningful civic engagement.

Jennifer is responsible for creating and executing programming for adults at the main library and coordinating program placements at branch locations. In addition to staying connected to local community organizations, Ms. Jackson and the Greenville County Library System maintain partnerships with the Hispanic American Women’s Organization, AARP, and Furman University’s Learning in Retirement program.  In a previous library position, she planned and promoted a health program entitled Champions for Change geared towards older, African American adults
